You can also pool them to buy a limited-time subscription. You receive Smart Tokens free when you join, earn more by referring friends, or top up with a voucher. Tokens never expire, and voucher codes can be shared as a gift.
Where do Smart Tokens come from?
There are four ways to add Smart Tokens to your balance:
- Welcome gift — 10 Smart Tokens when you register.
- Referrals — share your referral link; earn 10 Smart Tokens each time a friend buys.
- Buy a voucher — purchase Smart Tokens in voucher form.
- Redeem a voucher — enter a code you bought or were gifted, and your balance updates.

How do I get Smart Tokens?
1. Welcome gift on registration
When you create your SkilOre account, we add 10 Smart Tokens to your balance as a thank-you for joining — enough to try any feature straight away.
2. Refer friends
Share your personal referral link. When someone signs up and buys through your link, you receive 10 Smart Tokens. There's no limit to how many friends you can refer.
Where to find your link: open the menu and choose Refer a friend to open the Referral dialog. Your personal link is shown there, ready to share via WhatsApp, X, LinkedIn, or email. See the Referral & Rewards Program article for the full details.
3. Buy a voucher
You can top up any time by buying Smart Tokens in voucher form:
- Open the Pricing page.
- Go to the Buy Smart Token Vouchers section.
- Choose how many tokens you want — from 10 to 100, in steps of 10.
- Complete the purchase with your card.
- You'll receive a voucher code you can redeem yourself or give to someone as a gift.
4. Redeem a voucher code
Whether you bought a voucher or received one as a gift:
- Open the Pricing page.
- Find the "Have a voucher code?" section.
- Enter your voucher code.
- Your Smart Token balance is updated with the voucher's token amount immediately.
What can I spend Smart Tokens on?
Tokens unlock paid features when your plan doesn't already include them:
- AI Interview Simulator sessions
- Smart Application — your CV tailored to a specific job
- CV Translation
You'll always see the exact token cost before you confirm, so there are no surprises.
Important: Smart Tokens are for features. You can use them to try a feature occasionally, on a per-session basis, or pool them to buy a limited-time subscription. Plans (Craft, Practice, Accelerate, and the Early Bird offers) can be purchased with Smart Tokens or with a card.
Tokens vs. plans — which should I use?
Tokens are the pay-as-you-go option — ideal for occasional use or for trying a feature before you commit.
If you've built up enough tokens, you can also use them to buy a limited-time, non-renewable subscription:
- Open the Pricing page.
- Toggle the payment method to Smart Tokens.
- Each plan now shows its price in tokens.
- Choose the plan you want and complete the purchase, as long as your balance is sufficient.
If you use a feature regularly, this is usually more efficient than spending tokens on one-off trials.

Do tokens expire?
No. Smart Tokens never expire. Earn or buy them now and use them whenever you're ready.
Can I gift Smart Tokens?
Yes. A voucher is simply a code, so it's easy to give as a gift — for a birthday, a graduation, a career milestone, or anyone who's job hunting. Buy a voucher, then send the code to the recipient. They redeem it on their own account's Pricing page. No account is needed to receive the code — only to redeem it.
How do I check my token balance?
Your current Smart Token balance is shown on the Pricing page. It's also shown wherever you're about to use a feature with Smart Tokens, so you can see your balance right before you confirm.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I buy a subscription plan with tokens?
Yes. On the Pricing page, toggle the payment method to Smart Tokens to see each plan's price in tokens, then buy any plan you have enough tokens for. Plans bought with tokens are limited-time and do not auto-renew.
Can I exchange my tokens for money?
No. Smart Tokens are internal reward points with no monetary value, so they can't be exchanged for cash, refunded as money, or replaced. If you have a billing question about a purchase, raise a support ticket and the team will help.
Can I transfer tokens to another user?
You can't move tokens directly between accounts. Instead, buy a voucher and send the code to the other person to redeem on their own account.
What happens to my tokens if I subscribe to a plan?
Your tokens stay in your balance. While a plan already covers a feature, you won't be charged tokens for it — your tokens remain available for anything your plan doesn't include, and for after the plan period.
